I like the old episodes of Grey's Anatomy, okay? With George, and Izzy; before they started leaving and dying. So most days I watch old episodes of Grey's on Lifetime no matter what else I am doing.

I am loving my sweet little home in McPherson. I miss my friends, colleagues, students, classroom, but I am love, love, loving being back in Central Kansas in my own little H4H house (that's Habitat for Humanity people, and it's a sweet home, we love it).

I am thinking about my Kinders and how much I miss them and how I would love to be getting my classroom ready for a new year. (I recently posted about the reading tutor position I accepted with the local school district). I am looking forward to what this year might bring, but I am missing my school family. I really love those kiddos.

Every day I want a drink from Sonic. Sometimes my less evil, more healthy self wins. I am not sure this will be that day. It's still happy hour for another 25 minutes. How badly can they mess up a route 44 drink? (I probably just tempted fate with that statement).

I am needing some structure and stability.  Yep. Summer break is too long. I love it, but I don't. I am totally over the lack of structure and days with no stability or reason. I've read, I moped, I enjoyed lazy afternoons poolside, I've gardened. I need more structure.

The teacher who's room I took over last year left me sentence strips, wow, I was so thankful. I love post it notes. Not only are they completely necessary for me to succeed in the classroom, but I love them. I love pink ones, green ones, blue ones, purple ones, green ones, neon yellow ones. *sigh* Yep, I feel a little giddy just talking about them. I feel the same way about writing utensils: markers, pens, and highlighters. I love them. They look great, they are so fun, they bring new life to all things school. I don't actually know why I love them so much. Highlighters are something I use everywhere. I use them to check papers, to make tracers for students, to actually highlight things.  Pens... can anyone have enough pens? If you do, you must not be a teacher. right? I don't know.  I just love them. And I always have an extra. So if you get to the meeting without a pen, just tap me on the shoulder, I'll share.

ooOOOooo.... I love Sharpies. :)

  1. Ooh - highlighters! That's another supply I must have in every color of the rainbow. I also feel the same joy over sticky notes :) I love Grey's Anatomy and have watched it from the beginning. I do miss seeing George & Izzy, though.

  3. Just today I was cutting out some goodies for the beginning of school while listening to Grey's on Lifetime. My love for writing utensils has spread to my older son...he wants the BEST pencils, and now we both want Frixion gel pens (they erase!). I take some of that stability and routine, please.

    1. I just discovered the Frixion pens, not up close and personal yet, but saw lots of references to them on everyone's blogs, so I looked them up on Google! They look awesome! :)
