Here are my answers!
Hot Chocolate or Eggnog?
Hot chocolate! Growing up we never really had eggnog so I never learned to drink it.
Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them underneath the tree?
Wraps! Unless it's giant. Or Santa's helper (aka... me) is just too exhausted.
Colored lights or white?
White! I love how my house looks with white lights on the outside.  Um, okay, both. I have red lights on my Christmas tree and love them.
When do you decorate?
Whenever I can!! Last year I was a first year teacher and didn't decorate much at all. This year I am back in my home and the Christmas stuff has been out since Thanksgiving but actual decorating is happening in degrees this year. Today I found all my little trinkets and put the snowmen on a shelf.  I'm hoping to get the tree decorated today as well.  A couple years ago I bought some of those $1 fabric remnants in Walmart and braided them together and hung the braid and then hung ornaments from the braid. Looks pretty cool.

Real or Fake Tree?
Fake. for so many years now that my 9 year old has never experienced a REAL tree. But I am wondering about getting one from my Dad's pasture next year.
What Tops Your Tree?
A crocheted angel. Some years I use a bow, but the kids really like it better when I use the angel.
Favorite Christmas Memories or Traditions?
Stuffing stockings! I love being "santa" for my kids and grands and stuffing stockings. I love it when we all get new pj's for Christmas. I love it that Santa usually brings us a game.  I love making snowflakes with my little one and making treats for her class at school. I love so many more things that have become tradition at our house.
2011 school party treats

Cookies for the family 2012

Do you remember your favorite gift as a child?
Roller skates maybe. One year I got roller skates and I remember that the weather was really nice the next day and we skated and skated and skated.
Do prefer giving or receiving?
Giving. Receiving. Giving. Um.... yeah. I love giving. Unless I am in dire straits and can't really give and then it's stressful. And sometimes it's nice to get "stuff." I like giving and crafting and creating. I love it.
What is your favorite Christmas song?
Too many to mention! O Holy Night (of course).  Blue Christmas by Elvis. Go Tell it on the Mountain. A Marshmallow World. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

I love this song. Makes me cry.  I love it that Jesus will be a father to the fatherless. I wish my little girl didn't hurt so much at the holidays.

I love this song. I hate it that we get lost in the hustle and bustle and lose sight of Christmas, but this so often describes how I feel at Christmas.

Candy Canes. Yuck or Yum?
Yum? I forget every year that I like them and I think... "eh" But then I start eating them and I can't stop.
Favorite Christmas Movie?
Elf!
If you know me at all, this is NOT a surprise! I know LOTS of Elf quotes!
"Santa! I KNOW him!" Santa's Coming!"

Do you shop online or at stores?
Both. This year we are really scaling back our gifting, so no online shopping.  But I like to shop online. No lines, no people.
Photo Cards, Letter or Store Bought Card?
Yes!
I love getting store bought cards and putting in family letters. I also like the photo thing.  It's cheaper (I think) to put a photo in the card. I usually do cards with a letter and a family photo.

Okay! That's it! Now it's your turn! Merry Christmas!

  1. Hot Chocolate or Eggnog?
Both, but not at the same time . . . yet!

Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them underneath the tree?
He's done both. Mostly depends on time!

    Colored lights or white?
Both on the tree, colored that stay on and white that twinkle! And mixed colors on the house!

    When do you decorate?
Usually two weekends after Thanksgiving, but not yet this year!

    Real or Fake Tree?
Fake ;( But when the kids were little we went to Bel tree farm and cut down our own and got our free Christmas ornaments every year! All the kids have a collection of ornaments from Bel tree farm.

    What Tops Your Tree?
An angel that my mom gave me! She's beautiful!

    Favorite Christmas Memories or Traditions?
Kenny G Christmas album during tree trimming and opening presents on Christmas Day! Also a banana in the bottom of the stockings, a new toothbrush and new socks and underwear from Santa!

Do you remember your favorite gift as a child?
My 3 older brothers went to one of those photo booths and took a bunch of pictures. My oldest brother Dave put them on a flip book (teachers know what those are!) and made up a funny story to go with them!

    Do prefer giving or receiving?
Giving more than receiving, now that I'm grown!

What is your favorite Christmas song?

Online when I'm pressed for time, for the things I can't get in town.
Local stores I LOVE. The smaller the better!

Photo Cards, Letter or Store Bought Card?
I love to get them ALL! But for some reason I hate to send them, weird huh?
